  1. Can for-profit organizations apply for this program?

    No, this program is only available for organizations that with 501(c)3 status or an equivalent classification. Your organization may be eligible to participants for other Commuters Trust programs. Email Lynn Wetzel at lwetzel@southbendin.gov for more information.

  2. Can organizations located outside of St. Joseph County apply for this program?

    Organizations must have a location within St. Joseph County to apply for this program.

  3. How are the applications evaluated?

    Organizations will be judged by their demonstration of past/existing transportation need, perceived organizational capacity to support program admin and the process used to select participants for program.

  4. When is the application due?

    The deadline to apply for the Community Nonprofit Partner Program is Monday, May 6, 2024, at 5:00 PM ET.

  5. Are organizations accepted into the program required to attend benefits system training?

    Yes, all organizations accepted into the program must have a representative present at the benefits system training held between May 20 - 31.

  6. Are employees of accepted nonprofit organizations eligible to participate in the program?

    Employees of nonprofit organizations cannot participate in program but may be eligible to participate in other Commuters Trust programs.
